  • Brake Away Switch And Battery Disconnect Compatibility
  • The breakaway for your trailer should have it's own dedicated battery like the Curt Push-To-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit with Built-In Battery Charger Item # C52042 does. The built in battery charger receives power from your 7-way connection to recharge the battery so you won't be hooked up to the trailer's battery at all and won't have any issues with your battery disconnect switch.

  • Do The Self Tapping Screws For The Curt Friction Sway Control Bar Need To Be Torqued Down

  • Replacement Brakes For a 2013 Keystone Summerland 2670 Travel Trailer
  • I'm going to recommend upgrading to the more common 10" x 2-1/4" for your brakes on both axles. This will allow you to install the Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA on each of your axles. These brakes are also self-adjusting so there is no need to manually adjust the brakes as they wear. This will require you to also switch to the larger Hub # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K as the brakes will not properly bed into your current hub/drums. When ALKO was acquired by Dexter they stopped manufacturing a lot of different...

  • Recommended Frame Mounted Trailer Hitch For A 73" Frame Width On A Springdale Summerland 2600
  • The only hitch we currently carry that would fit a 73" frame width is the Ultra-Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for Trailer Frames Item # UF35-946403. It is a weld on and has a tongue weight capacity of 350lbs. It is not rated for towing. I do not recommend using any bumper-mounted hitch receivers like the Ultra-Fab 2" Motor Home Trailer Hitch Receiver for 4" x 4" BumpersItem # UF35-946401 you linked to unless you know the weight capacity of the bumper.

  • Solution to Easily Maneuver Trailer Around without Tow Vehicle with 930 lb of Tongue Weight
  • I do have one solution that will work great. The Trailer Valet XL part # TVXL25 (for a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball) or part # TVXL2 (for a 2 inch hitch ball), would be exactly what you'd want. These easily allow you to maneuver a trailer around without a tow vehicle. These attach to the hitch ball and give you a handle to steer and a handle to crank the wheel around. Otherwise for a trailer as heavy as yours you aren't going to be able to maneuver the trailer around easily on a wheel caster.

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Where Only Right Turn/Stop Signal isn't Working
  • Sounds like an issue on the tow vehicle since the light activates like it should with the brake lights. That means the trailer wiring is correct but the signal is just not present on the tow vehicle like it needs to be. It almost has to be a fuse on the vehicle too since the corresponding brake light circuit is also activating like it should so that would be what I would check first. I attached a help article with more troubleshooting info on trailer wiring for you to check out as well.

  • Recommended Replacement Axle for a 2019 Keystone Springdale Summerland TT
  • We don't have the exact same axle your Keystone Springdale uses, but it looks like it just has 3.5K axles so something like the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles # 7359765 could work great. You'd just need to measure your axle from hub face to hub face, and from spring seat to spring seat to find out if this will work. This axle in particular measures 95" from hub face to hub face, and 80" from spring seat to spring seat.

  • How to Determine Correct E-Z Lube Grease Cap
  • To determine the correct E-Z Lube grease cap you are going to need to measure the center of the hub where the grease cap is going to fit (please see accompanying photo). The measurement will need to be very precise, so you are going to want to use a digital caliper such as # PTW80157. You will then just compare that to the available caps. Grease Cap # RG04-040 will fit a hub bore of 1.99 inches. Grease Cap # RG04-080 will fit a hub bore of 2.44 inches. Grease Cap # RG04-120 will fit...

  • Recommended Spring Bar Replacements For My Blue OX Sway Pro
  • When it comes to replacing your spring bars you need to first know what the tongue weight rating is for your current system. The bars will have dimples on them which will tell you what your tongue rating is. Any of the following bars will work for you depending on your tongue weight. No dimples = 200 pounds to 350 pounds # BXW4015 1 dimple = 350 pounds to 550 pounds # BXW4005 2 dimples = 550 pounds to 750 pounds # BXW4006 3 dimples = 750 pounds to 1,000 pounds # BXW4007 4 dimples = 1,000...

  • Grease Seal Recommendation for Dexter 4,400 lb Trailer Hub
  • If the number you found on the grease seal you pulled out of the hub was 473336 then that means the correct replacement seal is the part # RG06-050. This is commonly seen on the 3,500 lb axles but what also factors into this is that the 3,500 lb axle is one of the most popular axle capacities and 4,400 is not. Normally the next size up that you see from 3,500 is 5,200 which is why your hub components aren't listed in an easy of a way to find.

  • Trailer Hitch for Keystone Springdale Travel Trailer to Carry Bikes
  • There is a way for you to carry bikes with a trailer hitch on your 2016 Keystone Springdale 270LE, though based on my research it does have a square bumper, so you would need either the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch # E-100 if the bumper is 4" x 4" square or the Buyers Products RV Bumper Receiver Hitch # 337RVA24 if your bumper is 4-1/2" x 4". The reason you need one of those instead of something like the Ultra-Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for Trailer Frames # UF35-946403 is because...

  • Recommended Replacement and Upgrade For AL-KO 10x1-3/4 Electric Brakes
  • For your Keystone Summerland with AL-KO axles, the brakes and hub/drum assemblies will need to be upgraded as the magnets are no longer available for your application. You do not need to replace the axles, just the brake assemblies and hubs. I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA which uses the 10" x 2-1/4" self-adjusting brakes, and the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K which is compatible with these brake assemblies and your axles. .
